Culture.

As a business, we are a registered Benefit Corporation (B-Corp) and a Social Enterprise which means our overarching purpose is to make a social impact. We do this primarily through financial and volunteer support of social entrepreneurs and other innovative leadership efforts aimed at solving local or global issues. We are also very proud of the fact that we are the first Perpetual Purpose Trust-Owned Company in Connecticut!

We are committed to a maintaining a strong culture of collaboration, openness and, of course, fun! After many years of being voted Best Places to Work in CT, in 2019, we took 1st Place in the Small – Mid Sized Business Category!

What does this mean? Simply stated, it means that we are a for-profit company but we believe that promoting social good is just as important as maximizing profits. It means that we are committed to using our success as a business to help solve problems in our local and global community. It means that we are committed to creating an internal community that believes in transparency, contribution, integrity and a genuine care and concern for each other as individuals.
We Are a Benefit Corporation

Being a socially-responsible business has always been in our DNA but we have taken it a step further and, since 2014, we have been a registered Benefit Corporation (or B-Corp). A benefit corporation is defined as a traditional corporation with modified obligations committing it to higher standards of purpose, accountability and transparency. Our Commitment

We are committed to sharing our distributed profits equally among shareholders, employees and community efforts. Our employees get paid community service days and are encouraged to engage in meaningful and gratifying activities to generate impact.

Our employees serve our community as mentors, youth sport coaches, school volunteers, board members for non-profits, hospital volunteers and more. We take care of each other when life gets tough and we are always seeking out new ways to promote a healthier, more stable and sustainable world.
